QuestionsPro: How-To Guide to Streamlining Your Lead Generation on Quora
Welcome to QuestionsPro, a helpful marketing automation solution that can systematize your marketing approaches and improve your promotional activities on Quora. Are you ready to break new ground with advanced Quora marketing? Let’s get started!
QuestionsPro: Starting Out
Once you create an account at QuestionsPro, you will be able to start exploring the system. With a Free plan that you get from the beginning, you can try the tool for up to 3 different projects with up to 10 keywords tracked in each project. Note that the trial lasts for 14 days, so you will have plenty of time to check out how the system works and what useful marketing automation features it provides.
Here is how the tool looks like when you log into the system for the first time:
At the upper left side, you can see the Projects tab (we haven’t created any projects yet, so it’s empty now). On the toolbar at the top of the page, you can find My Projects drop-down menu that allows you to switch between the created projects. Right next to it you’ll find the Add+ button – that’s how you create a new project.
At the upper right side, you can find your name. Click on it to access another drop-down menu that provides access to account settings. Here you can find My Account (profile settings), Plans & Billing (check your current plan and switch to another), Invoices (payment history), and Log Out – basically, everything you need to manage your account.
You can always reach QuestionsPro support team in case you need any help with the tool. They work 24/7, so no matter when a question regarding the features or general overflow arises, feel free to drop a line to our support reps. They’ll be happy to help you out!
How to Use QuestionsPro for My Business?
Let’s walk through the functionality of QuestionsPro to get a better understanding of how to work with this tool. First of all, let’s create a project to continue exploring the system. Click Add+ at the top of your screen, and you will be redirected to the New Project page.
Here you can see some useful information: your current plan (Free as for newcomers), the trial period for the project (14 days), and the number of keywords (10) and topics (30) you can track for this project. For example, let’s name it ‘Marketing Tech’ – but of course, you can come up with any title you want. Specify your project’s domains and click Next.
On the next page, you get a starter pack of keywords generated based on the content of specified domains. Take into account that for the suggested keywords, you can see such useful information as Google Search Volume, Quora Google Position, and Quora Google Traffic:
- Google Search Volume shows how many times people searched for a particular keyword in a month.
- Quora Google Position represents the position of a Quora topic with the given keyword in it in Google SERP.
- Quora Google Traffic displays a possible volume of traffic this Quora topic can bring you. It is calculated based on the keyword’s search volume and Quora result’s position.
You can sort each of these characteristics in the ascending or descending order, or clear the filtration if needed. Also, there is a Search button above the first keyword to look for a specific word among generated keyword combinations.
You can add one of the suggested keywords or write your own keywords in the window at the right. Click Finish to save the project.
Hooray, our first project is created!
As you can see, there are the selected keywords listed in your projects, and they are ‘tracked’ ones as to say. Next to each keyword, you can find the following information:
- Found Questions
- Last 30 Days Questions
- Last 7 Days Questions
Also, notice that the ‘Keywords’ and ‘Questions’ quick access buttons appeared at the right menu bar for easier and quicker access.
Tracking Keywords: What Helpful Options QuestionsPro Offers
Talking about keyword actions, you can move Tracked keywords to Frozen or Ignored ones at any time. You may use the Frozen tab for keywords you don’t want to track as for now but may need them later. It is helpful to put some keywords in the Frozen section as these will not be counted into your account’s limit. Yet you can add them back to Tracked keywords at any time in one click; we will show this option a bit later.
Makes sense that you can use the Ignored tab as a bin, where you can put those keywords you don’t need at all. However, it is possible to move Ignored keywords to Frozen or Tracked or delete them from this section if needed.
You may ask, how to add a keyword to the existing project? See the ‘Add Keyword’ button above your Tracked keywords. Here you can add keywords that consist of up to 3 words, and each keyword should come from a new line.
Let’s click on the ‘digital marketing strategy’ keyword to see how the statistics look like.
If you click the corresponding cell under Found Questions for ‘digital marketing strategy’ keyword, you can find all the questions mentioning this tracked keyword. In Actions (the last column) you choose either to track or to freeze a particular topic. Reminder, with a free plan you can track up to 30 topics.
Similarly, the tool works both for the Last 30 Days Questions and the Last 7 Days Questions columns. Pick a question you like, track it in QuestionsPro, visit the Quora topic by simply clicking on the link, and leave your helpful answer in the thread. Once you get replies or upvotes, you’ll receive a notification from QuestionsPro. What is more, now it is possible to track all your Quora performance related to a specific project in one place.
Now, let’s move on to the right menu bar. If you click Keywords, you will see a drop-down menu that consists of the following options:
By clicking Tracked keywords, you get redirected to the main page of your QuestionsPro project. There are all tracked keywords and the topics found based on them.
The Suggested keyword field appears empty from the beginning. However, once you click the Generate button, you get a list of the most relevant keywords to consider tracking. If you click Actions of a particular keyword, you can add it either to Tracked, Frozen or Ignored if needed.
For instance, let’s freeze the ‘integrated digital marketing strategy’ keyword, and ignore the ‘how to write a digital marketing strategy’ one. As you can see, if the selected keyword consists of two or three words, the tool will offer to save it in the exact (word combination as-it-is only) or broad (word combination variations included) way.
So, here is our ‘integrated digital marketing strategy’ in the Frozen keywords. In Actions, you can always delete the keyword from Frozen tab, move to Ignored or add to Tracked if needed.
The Ignored tab looks the same way. Any keyword saved here can be tracked, frozen, or removed from this list.
Tracking Questions: Select the Best Quora Topics for Your Needs
Moving to Questions at the right menu bar, you can find the following options by expanding it:
In the Found section, you can find all the suggested topics to consider. You can either click Actions against any particular question to track/ignore/freeze it individually, or select a few topics and do the same with the ‘Selection’ button located above the questions. Once you track/ignore/freeze a topic, it’s status changes correspondingly. There’s also a date when the topic was found and the exact keyword it was found by.
In the Tracked tab, you can see only the questions you decided to track. Here you can see if there was a reply to the topic, check it’s rank against other answers, number of views and upvotes, segments, tags, and settings. You can add custom tags to segment the tracked topics.
In the Frozen tab, you can see promising keywords that aren’t included in your account limits. Usually, Frozen section is used for the questions you may return to some time later, but as for now, they show up among the suggested options. You can either move the topics to Ignored or Tracked or delete them from the Frozen tab, so the topics will get back to the suggested ones.
Similarly, there’s the Ignored tab where you can put the topics that are out of your interest. Once ignored, they won’t be listed among the suggested options until you delete the particular question from the Ignored section. Also, you can move a topic to Frozen or Tracked if needed. See, everything is simple!
And the last word about Segments tab. By clicking the Add new segment button, you can create a segment that can work as a rubric for your tracked topics. Here, you need to name the segment and choose your requirements, called conditions, here. You can sort topics by the following fields:
- is Answered
- Topic Title
- Topic URL
- Topic Status
- Topic source word
As you can see, there’s plenty of options to segment available topics. Each of these categories has additional settings; for instance, you can choose the number of views or answers, topic status, or even add several ‘and’ or ‘or’ conditions. Once you create a segment, you can always edit the conditions by clicking Actions.
This extremely helpful feature will help you sort topics out only once, and then all further suggested topics will be automatically marked by your segments. All you have to do is choose the topic that falls under the most favorable conditions and leave your reply there. No additional research is needed when QuestionsPro can find and sort the most relevant topics for you. Profit!
